Agreement and operator
These terms are an agreement between you and Mohit Karnawat, an individual operating the Nearmigo service, the operator of Nearmigo. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. For a question or a formal notice about these terms — including before you sign in, or after you have deleted your account — write to nearmigo.com/contact. Once signed in, Help & feedback in You reaches the same people.
Who may use Nearmigo
You must be an adult, able to enter this agreement, and legally allowed to use the service where you live. Keep control of your phone and account session, provide accurate account information, and tell us if you believe the account has been compromised. One person may not use another person’s account or impersonate them.
Nearmigo lets a person publish one real ask, lets another person send one thoughtful response, and lets the author decide whether a private chat opens. It does not promise a match, response, friendship, cofounder, job, transaction, event attendance, safety, or outcome.
Your conduct
You may not use Nearmigo to:
- harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, stalk, or dox anyone;
- sexualize minors, facilitate illegal conduct, fraud, scams, or unsafe transactions;
- spam, mass-recruit, scrape, automate account activity, or build a people directory;
- publish phone numbers, private addresses, handles, or links to bypass the one-response flow;
- misrepresent a place, event, identity, skill, opportunity, or relationship;
- probe, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or evade rate, privacy, moderation, or access controls; or
- upload content you do not have the right to use.
Place and event context never gives you a right to identify everyone there, infer attendance, track movement, or contact people outside the product’s consent flow.
Your content
You keep whatever ownership rights you have in content you submit. You give Mohit Karnawat, an individual operating the Nearmigo service a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, copy, process, moderate, transform for accessibility or matching, and show that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and enforce Nearmigo. This license ends when the content is deleted except where a counterpart retains a conversation, a safety record must remain, or a technical backup has not yet expired.
Do not submit confidential information or content whose publication or model processing you cannot authorize. Feedback about the product may be used without an obligation to implement or compensate for it.
Choosing “Contribute time or skills” sends a voluntary private in-app message. It is not an offer or acceptance of employment, a contract, payment, equity, or a guaranteed reply.
If a response is accepted, the exact ask and context it responds to become private conversation context for both participants. That snapshot and the retained response/message may remain in the counterpart’s closed thread after the ask is edited or closed, or after either account is deleted. An unavailable participant is shown with a neutral state that does not disclose the reason, and a removed message with a tombstone; the conversation view does not expose internal identity, ask, response, message, Place, or matching-evidence identifiers.
AI and moderation
Nearmigo uses automated systems to read structure, moderate content, create embeddings, and nominate relevant asks. These systems may refuse safe content, miss harmful content, or misunderstand context. They are product and safety tools—not professional, legal, medical, employment, financial, or relationship advice. We may remove content, limit reach, restrict an account, preserve report evidence, or refer a matter for human review. You may still block, hide, decline, and report.
Places, maps, and third-party services
Provider suggestions are identification aids, not Nearmigo guarantees that a place, address, category, event, or business is accurate, public, safe, accessible, or open. You are responsible for the separate public label and context you confirm.
Google-powered features are also subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms and Google Privacy Policy. OpenStreetMap data is credited to OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the terms described there. Other linked or provider services have their own terms and availability.
Safety and real-world decisions
Use judgment before sharing information, accepting a chat, meeting, collaborating, paying, travelling, or entering a private place. Nearmigo does not verify every person, claim, place, event, background, credential, or intention. In an emergency, contact local emergency services rather than relying on the app.
Availability, changes, and account action
We may change, pause, or discontinue features; impose fair technical limits; or suspend/restrict accounts and content to protect people, comply with law, or enforce these terms. We will not treat a paid boost or score as a right to attention. You may stop using the service and delete the account from Account settings.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nearmigo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, accurate provider data, successful matching, or a particular result. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. You are responsible for your conduct, content, agreements, and real-world decisions; we are responsible only to the extent applicable law makes us responsible.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will receive a new effective date and an appropriate in-product notice. If a provision cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect to the extent allowed by law. Questions or notices can be submitted through Help & feedback in You after signing in.
